Repair and Cleaning Services
Alter Knit New York and its agents exercise the utmost prudence and discretion in repairing and processing garments entrusted to our care, and use such techniques and processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and conditions of each individual garment. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing.

Custom Design Services
Alter Knit New York offers custom hand knitting and crochet services. We can design or recreate any knit or crochet garment. Options include: copying an existing garment, copying item from a photograph or sketch to your specific measurements or designing an original garment to your specifications, including fiber selection, color, size and styling. Prices will vary depending on size, design requirements and detailing for each particular garment, and will include all applicable materials, labor and shipping and handling fees. Please note that hand knitting and crochet produce unique garments, and we cannot guarantee finish or fit, but we will make every effort to meet your needs. All custom garment orders are non-refundable, and custom garments may not be returned for any reason.

Colors and Textures
Alter Knit New York makes every attempt to display accurately the colors and textures of products shown on this website. However, given the technological disparities among the display capabilities of various computer models, we cannot guarantee that your particular display of color or texture is accurate.

Pricing
The prices displayed on the website and referred to herein are quoted in U.S. Dollars.

Delivery
If requested, Alter Knit New York will arrange for free local messenger delivery of your items to any corporate office or staffed residential building within Manhattan on all orders in excess of 125 dollars. For local messenger delivery on all orders not meeting the minimum price requirement, additional shipping and handling charges will apply. All deliveries must be signed for by an authorized representative. Delivery hours are 10AM to 4PM, EST Monday through Friday. Delivery services will not be offered on national holidays, or outside of the aforementioned hours of operation. We endeavor to provide you with punctual and accurate service at all times. However, in rare circumstances, there may be unexpected late deliveries and/or missing items. In the case of a late delivery, we will make sure that your items will be delivered on the following business day. All items must be checked and counted upon receipt. Any missing item(s) must be reported to a customer representative within 24 hours of delivery.

Shipping
Alter Knit New York offers free return shipping on orders in excess of $50 via either USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground. Selection of specific carrier will be at our discretion. If you require 2nd day or overnight service, shipping upgrades are available for 15 dollars and 25 dollars respectively.
Replacement
Lost or missing items must be reported to a customer representative within 24 hours of delivery and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Alter Knit New York cannot be held liable for lost or misplaced delivery items that were signed for and received by authorized mail room, delivery service or residential building staff. In the event that Alter Knit New York is responsible for lost or misplaced items, we will provide the lesser of either 250 dollars or 40% of cost with valid receipt. In the event that a valid receipt is not available, our liability shall not exceed the lesser of 5x the repair costs, or the replacement value for a mutually agreed upon comparable item.

Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Alter Knit New York and Knit New York, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors and suppliers from and against all losses, expenses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from any violation of these terms and conditions or any activity related to your account (including negligent or wrongful conduct) by you or any other person accessing the site using your Internet account.
